Lassi is a popular drink of India originating from the Punjab region. Traditionally it is made by blending yogurt and
water with spices or sugar. For example, a salted lassi is spiced with cumin, while just a little sugar is added to a simple lassi.
The fruited lassis are more popular in America, such as mango or strawberry.
There is also the bhang lassi where a liquid derivative of marijuana is added. This is legal in most parts of India.
